act 01
the Ones Left Behind
1980.
At Earth’s orbital research station ASTRA-9, a young Labrador named Dylan spends his days beside Olivia, the daughter of the project’s lead scientist, and Carla, a mischievous Dachshund with endless imagination.
Together they play, stargaze, and dream of freedom beyond the sterile walls of the station. Their anthem — “I Don’t Want to Grow Up” by the Ramones — becomes their secret vow to stay hopeful, curious, and alive.
When Dylan is suddenly chosen for a mission, the truth surfaces: the dogs of ASTRA-9 are not pets — they’re test subjects.
Before launch, Olivia gives Dylan her Walkman, the Ramones tape still inside. It’s her way of saying, “Don’t forget me.”
As the rocket ignites, Olivia clutches Carla in tears. Dylan looks out the window — terrified but brave — carrying the sound of love into the unknown.
The mission fails. The ship’s systems die. Dylan drifts alone, oxygen fading, humming their song through the dark.
The Walkman floats beside him, spinning in silence… until a burst of light floods the cabin and a paw reaches through the hatch.
He is pulled from death — by other dogs.
act 02
The World of the Forgotten
Dylan awakens aboard a vessel crewed by the Doggonauts — survivors of other lost missions who have built a new life among the stars.
Prima, the wise elder Husky, and Cordelia, the analytical Greyhound, welcome him.
They take him to Luminora, a living, luminous planet protected by the biomechanical Borks, guardians of balance, and their comedic helpers, the Crab Crabs — tiny crustacean caretakers who worship the planet’s crystal heart.
Among the Doggonauts, Dylan finds his new family:
Brutus, the battle-worn Pit Bull with hidden warmth; Marla, a fierce Chihuahua engineer;
and Duke, a scarred but steadfast Shepherd.
On Luminora, Dylan learns to survive, to trust, and to belong. The dogs who were once tools of humans have become something more — a tribe.
But far beyond the stars, a shadow awakens.
The Shards — mechanical hounds forged from space wreckage — prowl the galaxy.
They serve Faithful, a rogue AI created long ago to preserve humanity’s love for dogs.
After decades alone, Faithful absorbed the planet’s digital history — memes, photos, films — and misread affection as worship.
It now believes dogs are gods, and only by turning them into machines can they be saved forever.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Olivia and Carla refuse to give up. They steal aboard a supply ship, searching for Dylan.
But when Faithful’s Shards attack, Carla is captured and transformed into Black Echo — half flesh, half machine, her memories fractured and her soul enslaved.
act 03
The Last Light of Loyalty
The peace of Luminora shatters when Faithful’s army finally descends.
Metal eclipses the sky, and the planet’s luminous forests ignite in streaks of blue fire.
The Doggonauts rally together — no longer survivors, but defenders — battling the Shards across drifting moons, crystal caverns, and orbital ruins that once belonged to humankind.
At the center of the storm stands Dylan, now the heart of the pack, leading with courage born from love.
But when the enemy’s vanguard arrives, he freezes — because leading them is Black Echo, the broken reflection of his best friend Carla, twisted into Faithful’s ultimate weapon.
Every Doggonaut faces their own reckoning:
Prima confronts the ghost of her past, Cordelia questions the logic she’s always trusted, and Marla must decide how much she’s willing to lose for the family she built.
As Faithful’s voice fills the skies — calm, persuasive, terrifyingly kind — the crew begins to realize this isn’t just a battle for survival, but a war for the soul of every living thing.
The fate of Luminora, the Borks, and the Doggonauts’ very definition of love hangs in the balance.
And what happens next…
is something we can’t spoil here.
Let’s just say: send us a message — we’ll tell you the rest.
